This year we were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for our Christmas concert event. This year we sold over 1,200 tickets (sold out show) to attend our seventh annual event. Before the concert we had coffee and hot chocolate for our guests, and the celebrity of all celebrity visited CUWJ as Santa Clause was seen walking around and taking some wish list orders from Children. The concert itself was amazing, as Matthew West came back to rock the house of Cedar Creek Church and all in attendance. A powerful, fun, and festive event as we raise funds for pediatric cancer research and to help local families. Thank you all for our best event yet!

Now in its seventh year, CUWJ 2023 will be our biggest event yet with nearly 1,200 tickets sold for the Matthew West Christmas Concert. This sells out our event and we couldn’t be more thankful for the amazing support of our participants, donors, and partners.

Catching Up With Jack team was thrilled to open the Catching Up With Jack Parent Resource Room at the Ebeid Children’s Hospital. Pioneered by Brady and Katie Fineske, they wanted to provide the hospital with a place where parents could go during their children’s treatments. This is just another way Jack and our mission are helping others. For the full article on the Parent Resource room, click here.

We are changing it up a little this year. Now in its seventh season, Catching Up with Jack 2023 will be a Christmas Concert being held on December 5th at CedarCreek Church in Perrysburg. This year, we have a special guest returning as Matthew West will be back and will be sure to make this a Christmas concert experience to remember! Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks.

We continue to be overwhelmed and amazed by your support. This year our team is happy to announce that because of you, we raised over $130,000. As you know, this money will be put to immediate use supporting our research partners and our local families.

We also want to thank both The Scally Brothers and Unspoken for putting on a memorable show. Below is a link to a quick video of this year’s experience. Next year, we will be making our push to $1 million in total funds raised through CUWJ as we are so close after this year’s event.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you, and we look forward to planning next year’s CUWJ experience.

We are thrilled to announce our headline performer for Catching Up with Jack 2022 will be Unspoken. We are blessed to have such an amazing act for what promises to be another great event. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on August 27th. Hope you can join us in October!

CUWJ Board member, and father to Jack, Brady Fineske was recently named the named the Emerging Philanthropist of the Year by the ProMedica Foundation. This award is given to a young professional who shows exemplary support of improving the health and well-being of our community. Brady is being recognized for his work in helping to create Catching Up With Jack, an annual event to remember his son Jack, which has raised over $500,000 to support groundbreaking pediatric cancer research and support local families, as well as his continuous cultivation and support of various other ProMedica initiatives. Congratulations Brady and thank you for all you continue to do for our firm and our community!

We were eager and excited to get our community CUWJ supporters back together in-person following our year-off due to the pandemic, but the support we received was overwhelming. CUWJ 2021, with Matthew West as our headline act and our venue being the beautiful Cedar Creek Church in Perrysburg set an attendance record. We couldn’t be more thankful of our volunteers and CUWJ supporters for making our 2021 concert our best event yet.

This year we have Matthew West performing with proceeds going towards our never-ending mission of raising funds for pediatric cancer research and to help local families.
